About Us

Welcome to De Leon ISD!

DISD is a “learning place” where Excellence is Expected.  We are dedicated to providing a safe learning environment that encourages and challenges every student to reach for success.  We are proud of the commitment that is shared by the staff of De Leon ISD as we work toward “Excellence.”  Our students’ achievements are the result of our parents, teachers, community members and staff working together, and we are blessed to have a supportive School Board that provides leadership and support enabling us to serve all children in a caring and safe environment.

De Leon ISD has achieved an “A” district rating for three consecutive years from the Texas Education Agency, and our teachers and staff will continue to strive to maintain excellent ratings for our district.  We are able to place a computer in the hands of each of our students, and our teachers are adept in the use of technology as they incorporate resources into plans that enrich the learning experience and challenge students to expand their knowledge base.

As we begin this new school year, we are committed to keeping our campuses as secure as possible along with the existing health and safety precautions we have used in the past.  We have doubled our efforts in securing the perimeter of each campus, installed electronic door locks, installed additional cameras, adjusted student traffic patterns, installed safety film at entries, contracted with Tac Pro for safety training and completed a safety audit for all campuses.

We are dedicated to helping our students realize their dreams and be prepared for the exciting possibilities of this changing world, and we are looking forward to a great 2023-24 School Year.  Together, we will work to make De Leon ISD the SCHOOL OF CHOICE for this part of Texas.
